Day-by-day itinerary — 5 days, 4 nights
Day 1Arrive Srinagar
Meet your driver at the airport and transfer to a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. Settle in, then take an evening shikara ride past the floating gardens. Overnight on the houseboat.
Day 2Srinagar to Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Drive to Gulmarg (about 2 hours) for the gondola ride up to Kongdoori. After lunch, continue to Pahalgam through the saffron fields and apple orchards of south Kashmir. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Day 3Pahalgam valleys
A full day exploring the Betaab and Aru valleys and Chandanwari by local taxi (union rule in Pahalgam). Time to walk along the Lidder river. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Day 4Pahalgam to Srinagar
Return to Srinagar and spend the afternoon at the Mughal Gardens — Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi. Evening free for shopping on the Boulevard. Overnight in a Srinagar hotel.
Day 5Departure
Transfer to Srinagar airport for your flight home.
